Residents of Narrandera, Leeton and surrounds are advised that weather permitting a controlled burn off of the Narrandera – Leeton Airport airside areas is scheduled to occur on
Saturday 6 December 2019 between 4pm and 7pm.

During this time expected smoke and haze will exist and motorists are asked to proceed with caution when driving along Irrigation Way in the vicinity of the airport.

The controlled burn off will assist Rural Fire Services in their training programs and Council in the control of grassed areas and management of wildlife within the airside environment.
