During the Australia Day long weekend a grass tree featured in the Lake Talbot Water Park entry was stolen.

The force and effort needed to remove this tree must have been extreme as the trees are set in place firmly. Unfortunately this tree will not survive as the roots have been disturbed and broken. Over recent weeks vandals have also removed the flowering spike from the grass trees, having a detrimental effect.

The entrance feature is a welcome improvement to Narrandera and we encourage everyone to respect and appreciate this and all structures created to progress and beautify our Shire.
