Narrandera Shire Council's draft Community Participation Plan for Planning is currently on public exhibition. The draft plan details when and how Council will engage with the community across the planning functions it performs under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

Manager Development & Environment, Helen Ryan said "Planning matters can often be complicated and this document sets out timeframes for public exhibition of various applications, strategies and plans and the way we notify our community."

"Community participation is an integral part of the planning system so I would encourage people to take a look at the draft document and share their feedback."

The draft plan can be found at www.narrandera.nsw.gov.au or at Council Offices and submissions are welcomed until 5 December.
