Lake Talbot Slides construction

Prepare for the best season yet at Narrandera’s Lake Talbot Water Park!

Council staff and contractors, together with pool managers Troy and Dycinta Lee, have been working hard over winter to bring a new lease of life into the complex with some exciting new features.

The end of the 2018/19 season saw the installation of a portable pool access chair lift to provide better accessibility to the 50m pool. The chair was generously donated to the facility by Narrandera Health Care through the COAG Improving Access to Primary Care in Rural and Remote Areas scheme. This feature will be of great assistance to our disabled community members and those not confident in accessing the pool via the stairs.

Construction of the new multi-coloured open slide is well underway with plenty of bends and turns along the way with a fun full circle spin at the end. While the dual racer slide parts have been delivered and are ready to be built.

The brand new changerooms and family room at pool level are shaping up well. The amenities will include male and female toilets, hot showers, change rooms and two family/disabled access
rooms. The footpath, installed last year, has received its final touches with shade trees and soft landscaping planted along the path.
