Council, in consultation with the project contractor, has further reviewed and amended the design for Lake Talbot Water Park.

The new concept will provide additional swimming pool and recreational areas, including a Junior Pool area for the safe use of toddlers, whilst protecting the very important Learn-to-Swim areas.

Council met with the Stakeholder Reference Group last week to discuss concerns.

The amended proposal allows for more usable swimming space in the Rampage Pool while also providing a separate pool for juniors, edging along the western side of the Splash Park.

The rampage pool will feature colour identifiable non-slip beach entry with handrail access, the Splash Park and Junior Pool will include rubber flooring with beach entry also.
The amended design also protects the current grassed and shaded areas for continued use by families.

Work is due to commence as soon as the current season ends.
