Narrandera Shire Council’s tourism department have partnered with local transport company, Hayllar Transport, to deliver an eye-catching tourism promotion of Narrandera Shire.
Our much-loved koalas, waterways and unique indigenous experiences through Sandhills Artefacts, are travelling across the country through the creation of ‘Narrandera Shire’ branded trailer side-curtains, measuring approximately 14 by 2.8 metres high each side.
Since the promotion hit the road late December 2020, trucks featuring the advertisement have covered 22,000kms, visiting Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide multiple times. Trips have also included Newcastle, Dapto, Manildra, Deniliquin and Wagga Wagga in New South Wales (NSW) and Shepparton, Geelong, Rosebud, Tyabb, Bairnsdale, Pakenham and Warrnambool in Victoria.
Hayllar Transport Owner, Bernie Hayllar, advised of the encouraging feedback given by drivers and audiences, “Everywhere the trailer goes people offer very positive comments, I have received many phone calls from people along the highway stating how impressive the Narrandera Tourism curtain looks. The feedback is always favourable, and people are clearly engaged by the images, often asking about the people and places.”
Mayor Cr Neville Kschenka is pleased with the results, “The data indicates an excellent success for this promotional venture for our Shire. This type of advertising has the potential to travel, capturing local, regional and national audiences.”
“This kind of brand awareness is true value for money, with an affordable creation, but extensive reach. Which was made more affordable through the generosity of Hayllar Transport, through the waiver of the display fee,” Mayor Kschenka continued.
Hayllar Transport trailers travel an average of 200,000kms annually across the Eastern Seaboard. They carry daily deliveries out of Narrandera to Sydney and Melbourne and cover a multitude of rural roads throughout western NSW and Victoria, with trips to the South Coast twice monthly.
