In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, TOMRA has, and will continue, to introduce a range of temporary measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers using the Return & Earn Machines.
The following new measures will be rolled out over the comings days:
- Actively encouraging the practice of good hygiene and preventative measures at our RVM Kiosks
- Lane floor markings and dividers at the return area of the RVM Kiosk, providing visible referencing of the 1.5m social distancing requirements
- All four machines to continue operating at the Narrandera site, but only one person to be recycling at any one time in the middle lane standing on the "cross" provided (See photo below)
- Digital idle Reverse Vending Machine screen messaging advising customers of “touch free recycling”
- Additional cleaning of RVM Kiosks, at a minimum of two cleans per site per day
- Necessary signage to help guide customers to adopt best practice.
Customers are encouraged to use gloves when returning containers and gloves/grabbers if collecting containers from within the community.
The Reverse Vending Machine remains in operation until otherwise advised by the Federal and State Government, however the site will be closed Good Friday 10 April 2020.
